The 80s was a time when one-hit wonders seem to have been prevalent, and Combo Audio, with their song "Romanticide" seems to have been a great example. Well, to the extent that you can even call "Romanticide" a hit, which may be a generous label. It's probably better to say that they had some local fame, opened for some big acts (including Duran Duran, U2, the Talking Heads, INXS and others) and got this song attached to a popular New Wave compilation series, where I heard it for the first time.
Due to friction with the labels with which the band worked, their musical output was sadly cut short. A single EP, which contained this song, was all that they ever put out.
