Hot Cold was another italo disco song I discovered in 1991 or 1992 or so, but who's artists operated in the years of about 1985-1986. Like most italo-disco, it's a bit poppier than some synthpop; less ironic and more just plain fun. Because italo disco artists are extremely more obscure, especially to the English speaking world, than other synthpop acts, I don't really know much about either the song or the artists except that it was made of two women, Antonella Pepe and Ivana Spagna. Antonella was also one half of the other famous woman italo disco duo, Fun Fun, as an aside. They had several hits on the Continent and in Latin America, including "Baila Bolero", "Happy Station", "Colour my love" and more.
